We usually drive by on our way up island but decided to explore the beautiful Malahat views and stop in for lunch. So glad we did! The food was first class and Kali, our server, was friendly and efficient. The panoramic views were spectacular, and we had the option of dining inside or out on the patio. Kali told us that they turn on the patio lights in the evening in the summer, which creates a romantic ambience. I’m so pleased we discovered this lovely restaurant so close to Victoria...a great time to explore our beautiful Canadian island.
We ordered the Lamb Burger, Spinach Curry and Cheesecake dessert. Food is amazing and found out there is an entirely new menu with recently new owners. Note the curry is amazing as there is an Indian root in their background.
Fabulous visit to this amazing restaurant with new owners. Same spectacular views! Food was delicious - house curry with prawns on a bed of rice! Also the veal dish was enjoyed by my friend! Service was excellent! Atmosphere was great! No longer have the EV charging available with the new ownership - hope they reinstate it as it was greatly appreciated!
The view is Crazy Cool!!! You'd never know by the front of the restaurant how insanely amazing their windows show the beautiful mountains and water!!! Jenn took care of us!!! I ordered the classic bacon, eggs, sausage... My husband had the sunrise bowl... Honestly One of the Best parts was the Potatoes, they were fluffy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside!!! I asked for something spicier than Tabasco, and she asked the chef... Who so kindly shared her "Homemade" chili/garlic sauce... It was the ABSOLUTE BEST part of our meal, in fact, if the chef put Her Own spin on the food she's making, it'd be SO MUCH BETTER!!!
Went to the Malabar Chalet for Father’s Day and it was great good views of the inlet nice new renovation. The staff were very professional and pleasant the food was good

I was pleased with our lunch at the Malahat Chalet. We ordered the fish tacos, quesadillas, and the Greek Pizza. The fish tacos were very good and looked great, the quesadillas also good, and the Greek Pizza was a exceptionable for a vegetarian offering (and generous). The waitress was friendly and competent. We reserved the corner view table and had a lovely lunch. We will return again.
DELICIOUS food, AMAZING views, and AWESOME staff - thank you for a great dinner. I called ahead to see if I could make a last minute reservation and Jen shared she had one last table by the window she could save for us. Perfect timing! The place is expansive, and the views are impeccable. The outdoor patio seating looks delightful, too. We really appreciated Jen and we shared a lot of laughs, good conversation, and she helped us navigate the menu. We had the halibut fish and chips, the halibut burger and the working man burger. Highly recommend upgrading the soup with the burger to the halibut prawn soup - SOOOO GOOOOOODDDDD. 10/10. Thank you!
